Hi, I’m Amy.

Amy Lowry, LMSW

I believe therapy can offer a space to slow down, feel more connected to yourself, and begin making sense of the things that may feel heavy, overwhelming, or hard to carry alone. I work with teens (14+) and adults who feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or weighed down by experiences that have made it difficult to fully trust themselves or feel at home in their lives. I am especially passionate about helping people move toward greater self-acceptance, confidence, and connection—learning that who they are is already worthy of care, belonging, and love.

I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and care, creating a space where you can show up honestly and without judgment. My work is experiential and body-based, drawing from EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), and mindfulness-based practices. I tailor therapy to each person’s needs and believe healing happens best when the process feels collaborative, grounded, and manageable.

I have specialized experience working with complex trauma, including physical, emotional, sexual, and religious trauma. My background in the anti-sexual violence field and inpatient substance use treatment continues to shape the way I approach therapy with compassion, respect, and deep care for each client’s story. I am also passionate about supporting individuals navigating grief, life-altering medical diagnoses, identity shifts, and the emotional challenges that can come with change and aging.

I believe meaningful healing and change are possible, even when life has felt heavy or overwhelming for a long time. It is an honor to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with themselves, their relationships, and the parts of life that matter most to them.

If you’re considering therapy and wondering whether we might be a good fit, I welcome the opportunity to connect, answer questions, and help you get a feel for whether working together feels supportive for you.
